Coach Amy Jacques

Coach Amy’s experiences as a teenager and young adult have shaped her empathetic approach to counseling and coaching. Reflecting on her journey, she recognizes the importance of having a supportive adult figure to guide and connect with during those formative years. Someone separate from parents/caregivers, someone who is not biased nor judgmental.

In the 1970s, the role of school counselors may have been limited compared to today’s standards. While ‘guidance counselors‘ existed, they may not have been as accessible or trained similarly. Coach Amy understands the impact this lack of connection with educators can have, not only, on a teen/young adult’s academic successes but also, and almost more importantly, on their social and emotional development.

Drawing from her experiences, Coach Amy strives to create a nurturing and supportive environment for her clients. She aims to provide the guidance and connection she might have sought during her teen and young adult years. She believes in empowering and inspiring them to reach their full potential by building strong relationships with her clients.

Coach Amy’s journey has given her firsthand insight into the challenges and feelings of disconnect that teenagers and young adults may experience. Through her professional training and extensive counseling experience, she can offer the support and guidance that fosters self-awareness, self-value, and confidence.

By combining her personal experiences with her expertise in counseling and coaching, Coach Amy can provide her clients with a unique perspective and understanding. She is committed to fostering connections, building trust, and helping young individuals navigate their journeys with confidence and support as a coach.

As a parent of two adult children, Amy also understands that bigger (older) kids only mean bigger problems. As our teenagers start to feel some freedom, they also have to grow into the responsibility that freedom comes with. Parenting through this can be challenging. With her parenting philosophy, “fair isn’t equal, fair is when everyone gets what they need,” she can help guide parents through this period of uncertain changes. Amy can help parents understand that their approach matters as they connect and communicate with their teens/young adults. Coach Amy is always here for you!
